What ?

Scouting young talented musicians, dancers and media makers in order to help them develop their skills.

What for ?

-    Develop skills and talents of young people who do not naturally find their way into the established stages, media institutions and art schools.
-    Develop new forms of qualification and accreditation of informal learning
-    Develop innovative partnerships and practices between cultural and welfare organisations, art schools, formal qualification organisations and local authorities in order to facilitate access to training and the work market for the ethnic, social and cultural minorities

For who?

-    Young people (16-25 years old) from popular areas who want to professionalize in culture or the media
-    Training organisations in the artistic and cultural field

How?

Each country (for dance and music)
-    organises workshops and masterclasses for the young talents
-    allows the talents to perform on stage alongside professional artists

During the whole process, the Roots & Routes media talents (young writers, radio- and filmmakers) are coached ‘on the job’ by media professionals as they produce reports and documentaries to be aired by local and regional radio and television.
